ARTIST BOOK - WALTER MITTY'S JOURNEY

STUDY IN PHYSICAL ARTIST BOOKS

For one of my final projects in my Intermedia Arts program at Concordia University, I created a physical artist's book. The artist book had to visually tell a story, based on a movie or a book.

I chose to recreate scenes of Walter Mitty's journey from The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013). One of my favourite movies, The Secret Life is one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen in terms of environment and 'big nature'.

I wanted to make my artist book was interactive for the viewer/reader, so I took inspiration from interactive children's books, with movement tabs and opening flaps.
